Growth and expansion is the name of the game in the vibrant and booming Central Texas area – none more so than Austin. The population increase signals one thing: more developments are coming. The Saint Elmo Public Market is one of those projects. And, it’s expected to open this summer!

In the works for some time now, Saint Elmo Public Market, located off South Congress Avenue in South Austin, is a place to shop, eat, meet and work. Here, strangers become friends and a neighborhood becomes a community. Once complete, the project will feature office buildings with ground level retail space highlighting vendors who wish to showcase their creative goods and services, apartments, a marketplace, and extensive parking structures. The developers of the project want to create a space where you can work and play in your own backyard.

Marketplace
Old world meets new world within the development’s Marketplace. In fact, to create a true town square atmosphere, the marketplace will offer a variety of vendors: cheese shops, fish markets, bakers, coffee bars, brewpubs, cafes, produce stores, butchers, florists and more. At the center of the development, the marketplace’s mission is to create a space to gather, dine, drink, relax and more. The public marketplace is set to be the first section of the development to open to the public – in summer of 2018.

Office Space
Inspiring creativity, the office space at the development is both beautiful and inspirational. The offices will feature rooftop access and event space, natural lighting, tall ceilings, exposed ductwork, open floor plans and ample parking. Offices spaces are expected to open in spring 2019.

Apartments
The development will feature 380 apartment units to open in spring 2019.

Hotel
A hotel, also located on the Saint Elmo site, will offer 156 keys and is expected to open to the public summer 2020.

Prime Location
Access to major highways such as 290, I-35 and Mopac Expressway, as well as being just 10 minutes from the airport and 9 minutes from downtown Austin, make this development an appealing option to residents and office tenants alike.

The South Congress area continues to be one of the most vibrant and recognized streets in the country and that’s just expected to increase with the addition of the Saint Elmo site. To developers, the vision is for Saint Elmo to become a household name to Austin area residents and a must-go destination for tourists.
