Why is Hutto appealing to Investors?

According to the Austin Board of Realtors annual reports, Home appreciation in Hutto was 15.6 percent in the last year, with the median home price at $143,200 in 2015. In addition, studies show that the cost of living in Hutto is nearly 9 percent lower than the national average, making this an attractive area to purchase a single or multi-family property as a residence or investment opportunity.

Over the past 15 years, Hutto has grown from a sleepy rural town of 1,250 residents to a burgeoning suburb of nearly 20,000 in 2013—and more than 87,000 residents within a five-mile radius.

The growth has been driven by the opening of SH-130 on the new Central Texas Turnpike System, combined with new construction of affordable single family homes, moderate taxes, and quality public schools.

At $96,562, the average household income in and around Hutto is markedly higher than the state average of $55,200—not surprising, given that more than a quarter of the residents have graduated college, and one in ten hold a Master’s degree.
