Village at Western Oaks

Experience

In the Village at Western Oaks, homes were built around the groves of oak trees, making the neighborhood seem much older than it is. Many grand oak trees are a hundred plus years old with sprawling branches that yearn to touch the ground, spreading around trunks with a diameter of 4 feet. Although close to the MoPac highway, this quiet community is brimming with green spaces, heritage trees, and nature trails. Latta Branch Greenbelt with hike and bike trails runs through the heart of the neighborhood, and Dick Nichols District Park borders the eastern side providing scenic views and a buffer from freeway noise. Nichols District Park offers a swimming pool, barbecue pits, basketball courts, playgrounds, and miles of trails.

Driving down Escarpment at almost any time of the day one sees people outside just “doing” and enjoying the Texas outdoors - riding bicycles, walking dogs, pushing strollers and jogging along. Activity is common in this community. The HEB Supermarket is a short walk for many residents.

The Escarpment Village Shopping center offers a video store with all the new releases, a sandwich shop, a bank, and a dry cleaner. Across the street from there, you will find restaurants, an animal hospital, massage therapy and salon, and a delicious ice cream shop, not to mention the ever popular Starbucks Coffee with a drive thru.

Austin's own Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is nearby which provides new release movies, quirky events, and table service. The Shops at Arbor Trails is less than 3 miles away, featuring a Whole Foods Market, Costco, 24 Hour Fitness, P Terry's Burger Stand, and Chuy's Tex-Mex.

Major Tech Companies have also made this area their home - Freescale, Dynamic Systems and DelStar Technologies to name a few.
