Cherry Creek Homes For Sale

Cherry Creek

Experience

Cherry Creek is more of an area rather than a neighborhood. The area includes everything south of Stassney Lane and north of Slaughter Lane, with the exception of a few more exclusive communities here and there. Homebuyers and residents are attracted to Cherry Creek for its convenient location in South Austin’s landscape, as this neighborhood is truly at the center of everything happening south of Highway 290. With a wide array of parks and recreation including, but not limited to Longview Park, Stephenson Nature Preserve, and Valley Creek Park, residents are never at a loss for fun things to do outdoors. For those less inclined to spend time in nature, there are many choices for shopping and dining out such as Sunset Valley Village shopping center which is at the northern end of this community. Other nearby public park facilities include Mary Moore Searight, and Metro Park at Circle C Ranch which are both on W. Slaughter Lane, and Dick Nichols Park. Just as popular are Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Veloway (a 3+ mile track for bicycling and rollerblading), and Grey Rock Golf Club, as well as other area golf courses.

Schools

The Cherry Creek subdivision covers a large area of South Austin, meaning that the school attended by a Cherry Creek student depends on where the property is located. Since Austin Independent School District school attendance boundaries are redrawn occasionally, prospective residents should verify current schools with AISD. Additionally, there is a great selection of private, Montessori, and Charter Schools to choose from.
