Milwood Homes For Sale

Milwood

Experience

Milwood is one of the largest established neighborhoods in northwest Austin. The neighborhood is a great option for buyers or renters with children in tow. There are a lot of amenities for families here. At the southern edge of the Milwood community, Balcones District Park provides walking trails with neat wooden bridges along Walnut Creek as well as basketball and volleyball courts, playgrounds, and a pool. Springwoods Park nearby is absolutely beautiful. There are two playgrounds, one dedicated to younger kids, and one for older kids. The entire place is covered with shady oak trees. There are bathrooms, a large field for soccer or kickball, picnic tables, nature trails, tennis courts and a sand volleyball pit. Perfect for birthday parties!

The new Apple campus is right in the middle of the neighborhood, 3M and Cisco Systems are also nearby. Situated in the triangle between Highway 183, MoPac Expressway / TX-1 Loop, and TX-45 toll road, Milwood residents, can easily reach the majority of the Greater Austin area. This neighborhood is a popular choice for potential residents looking to be near northwest Austin employers and not wanting to sacrifice school quality. Milwood is also affordable. Unlike most master-planned communities, Milwood has a voluntary neighborhood association with very low yearly dues. The neighborhood association is very active in fostering a strong sense of community, planning many activities for residents to get out and meet their neighbors and advocating for the neighborhood with projects like the Milwood library. But, even though Milwood does not have a traditional HOA, they still have the amenities that most HOA's provide, making it an even better choice for those looking to keep housing costs as low as possible. For a great community in a prime location, the search ends with Milwood.
