This is very exciting! What does this mean for areas like Manor. With the tollway actually in Austin ETJ, outside of Manor, do you see an economic "light at the end of the tunnel" for Manor? Do you have any news on the tollway on Hwy 290 E?

I'm a bit skeptical about all the hoop-la. We heard it before, large development "coming soon" they never seems to come. So really, is this a done deal? I guess I'll believe it when I heard the engines screaming around the track.

@Larry,
The Grand Prix Development is a done deal. Work has begun...Communities across the country have felt the worst of times since this recession hit several years ago. But we here in Austin can hold our heads up once again as one of the best markets in the country. And Larry, within the next two years the landscape along SH130 will be a change'n. Look for the Watersedge development near the north east corner of SH 130 and 71.

@Becky,
There are a number of Tollways slated for construction all around Austin metro. Some like the 290 and 183 is under construction now and headed your way. It is inevitable and a must that these expressway get in place. Austin's growth is outpacing it's ability to keep up with the traffic. So, yes I do see a light at the end of the tunnel for Manor, Cedar Park& Leander to SW Austin at Oakhill as well. If we can use less energy and time to get to and from home and work these communities will reap the economic rewards of demand on housing. Hang on, I believe Manor is going to hot spot to live at just an arms length from downtown Austin.
